ASI UK to fund lay-led projects at 2025 Convention

Do you have an evangelistic project that needs funding? ASI UK is thrilled to announce that it will be funding lay-led evangelistic projects during its first Annual Convention since its restart last year, set to take place in June 2025. This is a remarkable opportunity for mission-driven church members to receive financial support for their projects impacting many for Christ. However, the window for applications is short, so it is vital to act quickly.

How to apply

To be considered for funding, applicants must submit a fully completed Application Form and Budget to ASI UK by email at evangelism@asiuk.org. Both documents can be downloaded from the ASI UK website at www.asiuk.org. The deadline for submission is midnight on 30th April 2025. Once submitted, applications will be reviewed based on a set of criteria outlined on the website. Among the key requirements, the applicant must be a member of ASI UK, the project must be evangelistic in nature, and the requested funding must not exceed 40% of the total project cost. You can apply to become a member at the time of submitting the application for funding.

Successful applicants will also be required to submit promotional materials—ideally a short video—so that their projects can be showcased to the wider ASI UK community. A special offering will be collected at the ASI UK Annual Convention on 21st June 2025 in support of the approved projects.

Join the ASI UK 2025 Annual Convention!

In addition to funding projects, ASI UK invites all church members to attend its Annual Convention on Sabbath, 21st June 2025, at the Mercure Daventry Court Hotel, under the inspiring theme “Reconnect.” The event is an opportunity for networking with like-minded believers, sharing ideas, and to be inspired by powerful messages, testimonies and seminars.

The keynote speaker for the event is Johnny Wong, a church planter from Melbourne, Australia, and the founder of Gateway Adventist Centre. He has conducted training in over 25 countries worldwide, covering topics such as Care Group Ministry, Discipleship, Leadership, and Church Planting. Johnny Wong is a dedicated Seventh-day Adventist lay leader with a professional background in Information Technology and has held senior management positions at Oracle, Ansett Group, and Hewlett Packard. He is also an adjunct lecturer at Weimar University and the author of "Business Unusual."

What is ASI UK?

Adventist Laymen's Services & Industries (ASI) is a global network of Adventist laypeople dedicated to supporting the mission of the Church. Its members include well-known organisations such as 3ABN, It Is Written, Amazing Facts, and prominent church leaders such as Elder Ted Wilson. ASI is a lay-led organisation, bringing together professionals, business owners, and supporting ministries under the mission of "Sharing Christ in the Marketplace." Its mission is best encapsulated by Ellen White’s statement that "the work of God in this earth can never be finished until the men and women comprising our church membership rally to work and unite their efforts with those of ministers and church officers." (Gospel Workers, p. 352)

ASI conventions offer a transformational experience, showcasing the power of lay-led evangelism in action. The 2025 Convention promises to be an inspiring event, providing opportunities to hear powerful testimonies, discover innovative ministry ideas, and connect with other mission-minded believers across the UK and beyond.
