Beautiful Baptism at the Ashford SDA Church

Sabbath 21 September 2024 was a very special day. The sun was shining, the sky was bright blue, and there was a buzz of excitement in the air as six precious souls prepared to declare their commitment to the Lord. Rhea Benjamin, Liam Peters, Livi Peters, Liandre Peters, Aaron Etokakpan and Sally Mutengo have been attending weekly Bible studies and learning about the fundamentals of our church. They love the Lord and ask to be baptised.

Pastor Emmanuel Acheampong, pastor of Ashford, Canterbury, Folkestone, and Margate districts of churches, reminded the church in his sermonette that baptism is the password to Heaven. The candidates responded affirmatively to the vows and were each baptised by Pastor Emmanuel.

The church witnessed this wonderful occasion. The Ashford praise team sang to the glory of God. All the parents were beaming as their children came up one by one. The candidates, who were all dressed in white, were presented to the church laden with books, gifts, and flowers. During the service, there were many tears of joy and clapping.

We know there was much rejoicing in Heaven as these young people made a stand. May God bless these new members with wisdom and stature in favour of God and everyone they come into contact with. May they stand up for what they believe at all times by the grace of God.

Pastor Emmanuel has already set the stage for another beautiful baptism, scheduled for 14 November 2024 at Folkestone Church. The anticipation is high, and we look forward to witnessing another 5 candidates take this significant step in their faith journey. To God be the glory, great things He hath done, and will continue to do!
