The Best is Yet to Come!": Area 2 Day of Fellowship Brings Spiritual Uplift

On September 30th, the southwest of England was abuzz with spiritual energy as the Area 2 Day of Fellowship unfolded. Under the theme "The Best is Yet to Come!" the event brought together more than 600 church members for a diverse and engaging day of worship, learning, and community.

The day began with a Sabbath School session led by Pr Robis da Silva, followed by a heartwarming song service courtesy of the Gloucester Church. The leading Divine Service, presided over by Pr Vicentiu Dranca, the Area 2 Coordinator, featured a powerful sermon by Pr Eglan Brooks, the British Union Conference president. His "What Does God Look Like?" message resonated deeply with the congregation.

Meanwhile, the youth were not forgotten. In a separate venue, Pr Warren Gillin, the SEC Youth director, delivered an encouraging message tailored for younger participants, ensuring that all age groups were spiritually nourished and felt cared for and valued.

Special musical items from the Ghana Church Choir and a performance by Roxanne and Elton Watson enriched the event, adding a melodious touch.

As the afternoon approached, attendees enjoyed a lunch break before diving into an enlightening Media & Communication Seminar. This session, led by Dr Sorin Petrof, the SEC Communication and Media director, highlighted the importance of digital evangelism and encouraged churches to embrace media tools in their 21st-century ministry efforts.

The day culminated in a joyous concert, followed by a closing prayer, which sent participants home with hearts full of inspiration and fellowship.

Pr Vicentiu Dranca and the other pastors of Area 2, Robis Da Silva, Namushi Namuchana, Curtis Samuel Wayne Smikle and Jeremy Tremeer, received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the attendees, reinforcing the success of this year's event and instilling a sense of hope and excitement for the future. The high bar set by this year's event leaves organizers and participants eagerly anticipating next year's gathering, genuinely believing that "The Best is Yet to Come!"
