A Celebration of Sisterhood and Prayer in the Hampshire Countryside
Portsmouth Seventh-day Adventist Church hosted a women’s Prayer Breakfast on 23 March 2025 in Hampshire to celebrate International Women’s Month. Held in a countryside home, the event united 30 women in worship, reflection, and a prayer walk. Highlights included a powerful message on the virtues of a praying woman, heartfelt singing, and a hilltop hymn session. Organised by the Women’s Ministries team, the gathering emphasised sisterhood, spiritual renewal, and plans for future events.

Plumstead Community SDA Church Embraces Mission During Personal Ministries Day
Plumstead Community Seventh-day Adventist Church marked Personal Ministries Day on Sabbath, 19 April 2025, with a powerful sermon and workshop by SEC Personal Ministries Director, Pastor Kwadwo Kwarteng-Ampofo. Emphasising the church’s mission to share the Gospel, the event explored personal evangelism, avoiding maintenance mentality, and living to change the world. Pastor Kwadwo challenged members to embrace their calling, echoing Christ’s commission in Matthew 28:18–20 and Isaiah’s response: “Here am I, send me.”

Hackney SDA Church Founder Member Celebrates 95th Birthday
Hackney Seventh-day Adventist Church celebrated the 95th birthday of founding member Sister Ann Williams on Sabbath 19 April 2025. Known as the “Mother of Hackney Church,” Sister Williams was honoured for her decades of service and miraculous recovery from critical illness at age 90. Surrounded by family and church members, the Windrush pioneer gave heartfelt thanks for God’s faithfulness and the love of her global and church family.

ELSOM Students invited to Westminster Abbey Organ Recital
To mark its tenth anniversary, the East London School of Music (ELSOM), was invited to Westminster Abbey on Easter Sunday 2025. Students were inspired by a private organ recital by Assistant Organist Paul Greally and honoured with the rare opportunity to play the Abbey’s iconic organ. The experience rounded off ELSOM’s anniversary month and highlights the school’s growing influence in music education and faith-based outreach.

Highlights included a surprise video, interactive games, and personal reflections, creating a touching atmosphere of love and appreciation for mothers.

Tottenham Lighthouse Seventh-day Adventist Church in North London continues to impact its community through active outreach, despite ongoing building construction. Initiatives like the Food Hub, 5am Prayer & Praise, and Sharing the Love Outreach Centre offer practical support and spiritual growth. The church’s partnerships—including with local Jewish neighbours—and its youth-led ministry, baptisms, and charitable projects highlight a vibrant, faith-driven presence making a difference in the Tottenham area.

The East London School of Music (ELSOM), a South England Conference Centre of Influence, celebrated its 10th anniversary on 5 April 2025 at Clapton Community SDA Church. The event featured praise, thanksgiving, student reflections on heavenly music, and standout classical performances. A Grand Organ Concert followed on 6 April, showcasing student talent and community engagement through music.
