We’ve Come This Far by Faith: Hackney Seventh-day Adventist Church 45th Anniversary

Hackney Seventh-day Adventist Church celebrated its 45th anniversary on 22 February 2025 with a full-day event, including an evening concert. Special guests included Diane Abbott MP and SEC President Dr Kirk Thomas. The programme featured historical reflections, musical tributes, and honours for founding members. Former pastors shared their experiences, highlighting the church’s growth from the Windrush generation’s efforts. The celebration reinforced Hackney SDA Church’s legacy of faith, service, and community impact over four and a half decades.

Faith-led Health Initiative Tackles Inequalities Across Hertfordshire and West Essex

Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (HWE ICB), in collaboration with One Vision, the Health Innovation Network, and the Office for Life Sciences, has launched a groundbreaking faith-led health initiative to address cardiovascular health inequalities. This Seventh-day Adventist-supported programme partners with churches and faith leaders to offer health screenings, education, and preventive care within faith communities. Focused on early detection, public health strategies, and empowering faith leaders as health champions, the initiative aims to improve access to healthcare, especially among underserved populations, while fostering trust and community engagement.

Reading West SDA Church Pathfinders: Champions in the Making

Reading West SDA Church Pathfinder Club celebrates success in the 2025 Adventurer Bible Experience (ABE) and Pathfinder Bible Experience (PBE) competitions. Two teams—ABE Faith Fighters 1 and PBE Bible Warriors—secured first place at the Conference Level and will advance to the Union Level in March. Since launching their ABE and PBE journey in 2024, the club has seen remarkable growth, with young Pathfinders deepening their biblical knowledge and faith.

Kristiyan Panayotov introduced the new Adventist website platform, and SEC Communication & Media Director, Dr. Sorin Petrof, launched the updated Communication and Media Guide. The event concluded with a dynamic Q&A, providing valuable strategies for impactful church communication.

Bournemouth SDA Church Holds First Service in Newly Purchased Sanctuary

Bournemouth Seventh-day Adventist Church celebrated its first Sabbath service in a newly purchased 160+ seat sanctuary on 1 February 2025. The milestone occasion also marked the introduction of newly appointed pastor, Steven Hulbert, who succeeds Pastor Laszlo Liebhardt, now SEC Director for Church Growth & Adventist Mission. Among the attendees were the church’s oldest couple, Charles and Daphne Richards, making the moment even more special. The new building concludes a decade-long search for a larger worship space, ushering in an exciting new chapter for the congregation.
