Bournemouth Seventh-day Adventist Church celebrated its first Sabbath service in a newly purchased 160+ seat sanctuary on 1 February 2025. The milestone occasion also marked the introduction of newly appointed pastor, Steven Hulbert, who succeeds Pastor Laszlo Liebhardt, now SEC Director for Church Growth & Adventist Mission. Among the attendees were the church’s oldest couple, Charles and Daphne Richards, making the moment even more special. The new building concludes a decade-long search for a larger worship space, ushering in an exciting new chapter for the congregation.

Dr. Daniel Duda, President of the Trans-European Division of Seventh-day Adventists, visited Tottenham Lighthouse Church on 25 January 2025, delivering a powerful sermon on vision, courage, and transformation through Christ. His inspiring message encouraged the congregation to pursue their God-given mission despite obstacles. Resident Pastor Dr. Jude Jeanville highlighted the relevance of the sermon to the church’s journey of faith and growth. Dr. Duda also recognised the impactful community work of the Tottenham Lighthouse Food Hub. His visit was a blessing, leaving a lasting impact on all in attendance.

Slough Ghana SDA Church welcomed Pastor Kwadwo Kwarteng-Ampofo, SEC Personal Ministries Director, on Sabbath, 2nd February 2025, for a day of inspiration and strategic vision. His sermon, Chosen for Mission, highlighted the church’s divine calling to evangelism, while his afternoon presentation, Let’s GROW Slough Church Together, introduced the GROW method to strengthen outreach and discipleship. Encouraging members to shift from a maintenance mindset to an active mission-driven approach, Pastor Kwarteng-Ampofo urged the congregation to embrace evangelism as a way of life.

On 1 February 2025, London Ghana Seventh-day Adventist Church concluded a week-long Conflict Resolution series, led by Senior Pastor George Boakye Asiamah and intern Bright Agyeman Baah. Agyeman Baah’s powerful Sabbath message emphasised peacemaking as a defining trait of true Christians, urging attendees to foster reconciliation in their homes, churches, and communities. The seminars provided practical, biblically grounded strategies, reinforcing that peacemaking is not just a virtue but a divine calling.

On 28 January 2025, Tottenham Lighthouse Seventh-day Adventist Church members celebrated the 102nd birthday of Sister Gwendoline Mallette. Surrounded by love, laughter, and faith, she welcomed church leaders and reflected on God’s blessings in her life. Still sharp and full of gratitude, she looks forward to warmer days and reuniting with her church family in person.
